Left 4 Dead Special

I can remember going through the Krystal's drive through at 11:30 at night, chatting about the awesome new zombie game that would be coming out soon. And now, months later, who would have thought Left 4 Dead would be as popular as it has been... and go on to have a baby of it's own - Left 4 Dead 2. We're so proud! So here's a tribute to all things L4D and it's little bundle of joy.

We all know we've done at least a few of these... ok maybe a lot of these. But annoying your teammates is part of the fun! Granted it's better if it's your friends over XBL and not random people. That may not be the fastest way to make friends. But lets look back at the past few months and remember all the jerks we've slayed with, betrayed with, and honestly just drove us up the wall.

Classic. And those of us who have the 360 version are always wishing we could mod like the PC folks. But at least they are kind enough to post all their hilarious videos. My personal favorite are the sound mods. Kudos!

And what tribute would be complete without a sneaky peak into the future of Valve. Left 4 Dead 2 is greatly anticipated by all and sure to be among the greats. I know I'll look more and more like an infected gamer the closer it gets to the release date. "Gaaaaames. GAAAAAMES!" But don't take my word for it:

And the best part is: while most game companies move on to their next project leaving the masses to wade around in a pre-played game world, Valve is resetting the bar for customer satifaction with continued support, as well as new DLC, for L4D 1 even while working on L4D2. Sweet! Valve is definitely passing the happy around this year. So keep killing the horde, annoying friends, and modding the heck out of witch screams. "Burn baby burn..."

Left 4 Dead DLC is expected to hit a XBL Dashboard near you before the end of the 09 summer. Left 4 Dead 2 blasts onto store shelves November 17th, 2009.
